Mary McKenna reports that on January 11th the Washington State Department of Transportation will be closing State Route 99 through downtown Seattle, Wash., to realign the route with a new tunnel. The closure will begin at 10:00 PM from South Spokane Street to the south end of the Battery Street Tunnel and is expected to last three weeks. The state DOT is asking drivers to make alternate travel plans. There are maps available online for freight routes to use during the closure. Air date: Jan. 10, 2019.
