Terry Scruton reported that PACCAR and Daimler Trucks North America have issued recalls.
PACCAR is recalling certain 2018 Kenworth T680s and T880s along with Peterbilt 567s and 569s because of a seat belt issue. According to a news release the seat belt buckle assemblies may have been glued rather than sewn during manufacturing and they could come apart during a crash.
Meanwhile, Daimler Trucks North America is recalling certain 2018 and 2018 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, 122SD, Cascadia, Business Class M2, and Western Star 4700, 4900, and 5700 models made with certain Eaton ECA heavy duty truck clutches.
An internal component in the clutch assembly could fail, possibly resulting in intended vehicle movement.
