  • 12/28/2017 – Daimler recall

    Daimler Trucks North America has issued a recall that could potentially affect more than 436,000 trucks. The recall, which will begin Jan. 25, involves the brake light switch, which may not activate the brake lights with a light application of the brake pedal. The recall covers Freightliner Cascadia models 2008 through 2018, and Western Star tractors 2008 through 2018, models 4700, 4900, 5700 and 6900. Daimler says it will notify owners and dealers, and will repair the vehicles free of charge.

  • 12/28/2017 – Daimler recall over brake problem

    Daimler Trucks of North America is recalling around 3,000 trucks. The recall on some 2018 Freightliners, Cascadias Western Stars and Freightliner Custom Chassis is to fix brake caliper mounting bolts that were not properly tightened and may cause the caliper to detach. The recall will start January 25th.

  • 1/18/2018 – Transmission recall

    Eaton Cummins Automated Technologies is recalling some Endurant and Paccar transmissions. The company says the transmission control module may allow the engine to crank briefly, even if the truck is in neutral, which in turn could cause unintended movement of the vehicle.
