FMCSA taking comments on trucker commuting
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is accepting comments for 60 days on truck driver commuter driving. The agency is looking into what it considers excessive commutes which is defined by the FMCSA as 150 minutes or longer. The FMCSA wants to know how this might affect driver safety and fatigue. The deadline for those comments is January 26.
Comments can be sent via one of four methods:

- Hand Delivery or Courier: 1200 New Jersey Avenue SE., West Building, Ground Floor, Room W12–140, Washington, DC 20590 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.
All comments must include the agency’s name (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and docket number (FMCSA-2017-0313).
